The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain engineering firms for (2) open-end agreements. The Agreement will be for a period of 4 years with projects assigned on an as-needed basis. The maximum amount of the Open-end Agreement will be 1,500,000 dollars. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain engineering firms for (2) open-end agreements for the services indicated below on various projects. Each Agreement will be for a period of 4 years with an option to extend the term for an additional one (1) year. The maximum amount of the Open-end Agreement will be $1,500,000 dollars. This Environmental Services – Systemwide contract is to provide environmental services in order to advance projects on the Capital Plan. Services to be provided will include, but not will be limited to, wetland and stream identification, cultural resource investigations, noise analysis, threatened and endangered species coordination, hazardous waste investigations, mitigation monitoring and environmental permitting. The type of tasks to be addressed may include, but are not limited to, the following: project need documentation; alternatives analysis evaluation; farmlands evaluations including ALCAB presentations; historic resource surveys, Determination of Eligibility and Effects evaluations and documentation, Phase I, II and III archeological investigations and documentation; wetlands and waters identification and delineation, and functional assessments; federal and state aquatic resource permitting and mitigation design; wetland and stream mitigation monitoring; surface water quality and aquatic biota investigations; residual and hazardous waste investigations; asbestos and lead-based paint surveys; PNDI searches and related federal and state-listed endangered and threatened species investigations; noise monitoring, modeling and abatement investigations; air quality investigations, and land use/land cover studies. The team must possess GPS equipment and staff experienced in its utilization. These environmental studies identified are the general work activities that can be expected under this Open-end Agreement. A more specific and project-related Scope of Work will be outlined for each individual Work Order developed under this Open-end Agreement.
