Ventura County: Asbestos reinspection services per the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) [40CRF763.85] on behalf of various Local Education Agencies (LEAs) that choose to participate in the joint Request for Proposal. Qualified Contractor/Consultants meeting the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) accreditation requirements to provide asbestos reinspection services are invited to submit a proposal for reinspection of the listed sites, complying with standards which are generally understood by participating LEAs to meet AHERA three (3) year reinspection requirements 40CFR Part 763 Sections 763.85 and 763.88 and consist of the following components: a) Visual reinspection of all known or assumed friable ACBM. b) Visual and touch inspection of previously considered nonfriable ACBM. c) Identification of homogeneous areas of material that have become friable since the initial AHERA inspection. d) Providing detailed records in compliance with Section 763.85 (b).
